Acting on credible information, the Customs team enhanced monitoring of EMS post parcels originating from Bangkok, Thailand, as they were suspected to contain contraband or controlled substances.
During an intelligence-based operation, a suspicious parcel containing used clothing and shoes was intercepted. The parcel, booked from Bangkok and addressed to Mr. Haider, was examined in the presence of Customs and IMO staff. This led to the discovery of 3.4 kilograms of raw marijuana.
