During an intelligence-based operation, a suspicious parcel was intercepted. The parcel, booked from Bangkok by an individual named Thanuphoon, was declared as containing dried food and addressed to a resident of Karachi. Upon examination in the presence of customs and IMO staff, the parcel was found to contain 1.25 kilograms of raw marijuana, worth approximately Rs5 million. An on-spot test confirmed the substance as marijuana.

This seizure is a result of heightened monitoring of EMS post parcels from Bangkok at the IMO. An FIR is being lodged to trace the financiers, abettors, facilitators, and the actual narcotics gang involved.
