KARACHI: The Customs authorities have launched anti-money laundering campaign at all airports of the country after which through body search of passengers is being conducted.
Sources told Customs Today that the Customs authorities received credible information that some smugglers are using different ways to smuggle foreign currency for which they are using shoes and under garments.
Sources further said that during the month of August Customs, Preventive authorities deputed at Jinnah terminal, seized Rs 13.1 million from three passengers who were going abroad. It is necessary to mention here that after anti money-laundering campaign authorities sees sizeable decrease in money-laundering cases.
