Customs Multan takes into possession several vehicles priced at Rs56.03m in February

MULTAN: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan impounded goods and vehicles valued at Rs56.03million during its actions in the month of February of Fiscal Year 2017-18.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan took into possession 11 non-duty-paid and offending vehicles worth Rs8.8million in different crackdowns on smuggling and smuggled loaders and items during said period.

The impounding will generate a handsome amount of revenue through auction for the collectorate. The impounded vehicles include Toyota Corolla, mini trucks, Suzuki Jimny Jeep, Toyota Hilux Surf and other ones in various actions.

During the month of February of FY2017-18, the Anti-Smuggling Organization confiscated auto parts, High Speed Diesel products, smuggling apples and other items. The ASO seized miscellaneous goods priced at Rs47.23million in its actions during February.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization took into possession three different vehicles priced at Rs2.6million and registered four seizure cases of miscellaneous goods in its crackdowns during the corresponding period 2016-17.

The said Anti-Smuggling Organization intensified its crackdowns on contraband items and vehicles in the territory during February. A number of seizure cases have also been lodged due to aggressive actions of the Multan Customs.
