Customs North Region earns Rs123.34m more revenue than earmarked target during February

ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region generated an extra revenue of Rs123.34million under the head of all taxes against an assigned revenue target for the month of February FY17-18.

According to details explained by the official sources of the North Region, comprising of Customs Collectorates of Islamabad, Peshawar, Samberial and Gilgit-Baltistan, it was added that, during the month of February, the NorthRegion received Rs2560.62million of all taxes while it was allocated Rs.2437.28 million.The North Region received Rs2340.54million under the same head during the corresponding period of FY16-17.
The sources told CT that, during the month of February FY17-18, North Region’s Customs Collectorate Islamabad collected Rs1449.97million as all taxes against an earmarked revenue target of Rs1026.04million. The Islamabad earned an extra revenue of Rs423.49million against an earmarked revenue target for the month of February FY17-18 while it received Rs969.54 million under the same heads during the same period of FY16-17.
The sources informed CT that the Customs Collectorate Peshawar got Rs1220.73million under all the heads against an allocated revenue collection of Rs1510.38million. The Peshawar faces a shortfall of Rs289.65million under all the heads against an assigned revenue target for the month of February FY17-18. The Peshawar Customs generated Rs1396.67million under the same heads during the same period of FY16-17.
It was told that the Collectorate of Samberial earned Rs.-110million under all the heads against an allocated revenue collection target of Rs.-99.14million during the month of February FY17-18. The Samberial faced a shortfall of Rs.-10.94million against an earmarked revenue target.
