Customs North Region faces shortfall of Rs94.1m during 1st week of October

ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region has faced a shortfall of Rs94.1million during the 1st week of October under the head of all duties and taxes against an assigned proportional revenue collection target from 1st to 6th of October in financial year 2017-18.

Sources told Customs Today that from 1st October to 6th, the North Region collected Rs 542.42 million of all taxes while it was allocated the proportional target of Rs 636.52 million under all heads. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has been assigned a revenue target of Rs3288.69million for the month of October FY 17-18 under all heads.
The North Region’s Customs Collectorate Islamabad earned Rs97.49million extra all taxes against its earmarked proportional revenue target for 1st to 6th of October FY17-18. The collectorate of Islamabad was allocated a proportional revenue collection target of Rs191.78million while it collected Rs289.27 during initial six days of October FY17-18.
The Peshawar Customs got Rs326.50million against an assigned proportional revenue target of Rs394.08million while Samberial Customs paid rebate refunds of Rs-145.24million against an allocated proportional target of Rs-22.65million whereas the GB collected Rs71.88million against an assigned proportional target of Rs73.31million for initial six days of October FY17-18 under all heads.
