ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region fetched 26.90% extra revenue under all heads during the month of July Fiscal Year 2018-19.
According to details told by sources of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) that during July, North Region showed satisfactory performance against as compared with same correspondence Fiscal Year 2017-18.
Sources said that North Region which comprises Customs Collectorate Islamabad, Peshawar, Samberial and Gilgit-Baltistan earned Rs.3110 million under head of all duty taxes against collection of Rs2451 million. North Region earned Rs659 million extra revenue during the month of July FY18-19 against same correspondence FY17-18.
Sources said that North Region received Rs723 million under head of customs duty (CD) against assigned target of Rs 571 million. It showed that North Region received Rs152 million extra CD.
The North Region fetched Rs1480 million under head of sales tax (ST) during the month of July FY2018-19; whereas North Region received Rs1199 million under same head during same correspondence period. In that way the North Region received Rs281 million extra ST during July FY18-19 against same previous period sources said.
Rs180 million were collected under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during the month of July FY2018-19 against Rs58 million collected during same correspondence period. It added that North Region collected Rs122 million extra FED during July FY18-19 against same correspondence period.
Rs726 million were collected under head of Income Tax (IT) during the month of July FY2018-19 against collection of Rs622 million during same previous period. It is stated that North Region earned Rs104 million extra revenue under same head during July.
