Customs North Region surpasses assigned revenue collection target

ISLAMABAD: The North Region has surpassed assigned revenue collection target with extra amount of Rs.3208.47 million under all heads from July to November during financial year 2017-18.

Chief Collector North Region Sartwat Tahira Habib told Customs Today that during financial year (July to November) 2017-18 the North Region comprises (Islamabad, Peshawar, Samberial and Gilgit Baltistan) have been assigned revenue collection target with amount of Rs.14221.24 million under all heads while it was received Rs.17429.71 million under same head during said period, the North was earned Rs.13790.58 million under alike heads during identical period of FY16-17.

The sources told that from July to November FY17-18 the Customs Collectorate earned Rs6782.73 million under head of all duty taxes against assigned revenue target of Rs5355.12 million, sources was notify that the Islamabad Collectorate was earned Rs4998.26 million under similar heads during same period of  correspondence FY16-17.

The Collectorate of Peshawar received Rs9437.83 million under head of all duty taxes against assigned revenue collection target of Rs.8236.50 million, the Peshawar Customs earned Rs7553.78 million under same heads from July to November FY16-17 sources told.

The Cllectorate of Gilgit Baltistan (GB) was earned Rs.2095.94 million under all heads against assigned revenue target Rs.1990.23 million for first 05 months of FY17-18 whereas the GB was earned Rs.1826 million of revenue under same head during similar period of FY16-17.

The official told that the Customs Collectorate of Samberial assigned target for reward of rebate refunds in amount of Rs.-1360.61 million while it was paid refunds of Rs.-886.78 million under all heads to exporters during first five months of FY17-18, sources added that Samberial was paid Rs-587 million of refunds during same period of FY16-17 under all heads.
