Customs officers bid farewell to former DG I&I Imtiaz

LAHORE: Officers of Pakistan Customs Service have held a reception to bid farewell to the former Director General Intelligence & Investigation and Pakistan Customs Service Officers Association President Imtiaz Ahmad Khan.

The landmark reception was held at the Customs House Lahore that was participated by Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Samaira Nazir Khan while all the four collectors of Central Region including Collector of Customs Preventive Zulfiqar Younas, Collector of Customs Appraisement Muhammad Sadiq, Collector of Customs Multan Sarfraz Warriach, Collector of Customs Faisalabad Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary.

On the occasion, chief guest Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir Khan while addressing the participants said that Imtiaz Ahmad Khan showed outstanding performance during his entire tenure in customs department.  He said that who performed his duties and assignments honestly and dedicatedly. She advised the junior officials should follow the foot steps of Imtiaz Ahmad Khan. She added that she found him helpful and cooperative in her tough times throughout her services.

She wished him very best and thanked him for his welfare works and support of the customs officers during his tenure as DG Customs I&I.

Multan Collector Sarfraz Waraich said that he has a long association with Imtiaz Khan whom he met first time in 1986 and found him a pure and natural officer without any fabrications throughout this long period.

He added that as President of Customs Officers Association he worked hard for the well-being of the officers of the service and made land mark improvements in the promotions and up-gradation of the officers.  Imtiaz Ahmad Khan while addressing the gathering said that Customs Service is great one and no less than any other.

He said that he never felt any complex being an officer of the Customs service besides he represented the services confidently in every discourse and gathering of high levels.

He urged the officers of the Customs Service to use their contacts to make the service strong because if the Customs service is strong all officers of Customs Services will be strong. Collector of Customs Preventive Zulfiqar Younis presented vote of thanks and wished Imtiaz Khan very best of luck in his life.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director Saud Imran, Director Mubashar Baig, Director IOCO Tauseef Qureshi, Additional Collector Nayyar Shafique,  ADC Amir Rasheed, Additional Director Zeb Gul Shabbir deputy and assistant directors and collectors including Saima Bashir, Afzal Mehmood, Usman Tariq, Palwasha Saeed, Asim Bajwa Awan and others were present on the occasion.
