RIYADH: Customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle 631 grams of heroin via the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
An officer screened a passenger and detected 556 grams of heroin capsules in his abdomen. On further screening, 75 grams of heroin was found in his luggage also. King Abdulaziz International Airport customs director-general Abdulla Al-Fallay said that the trafficker was referred to competent authorities, reported local Arabic daily Sabq.
