MANGALORE: Customs officers at Mangalore International Airport captured 204 grams gold, worth Indian Rs 5,50,800 kept in the form of a measuring tape, buckles of a rexine travel bag, buckles of sandals, handles of hair brush and pen refill, assistant commissioner of customs said on Saturday.
The gold was kept in a travel bag of a passenger who reached here from Dubai.
The accused Sarfras Povval Mohammed Kunhi is a resident of Nagarakatte Cross Road, Fort Road, Kasargod district in Kerala. The accused at MIA reached on October 9 at about 10.15pm by Air India Express flight IX 384 from Dubai.
