Customs orders two staff members to surrender

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Headquarters has ordered two inspectors to surrender due to their alleged involvement in mobile smuggling case yesterday.

According to sources, the Customs authority also got Camera footage of international arrival lounge for this purpose. Sources added that yesterday, the Customs Staff recovered 1,248 smart cell phones and arrested three accused from Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad (BBIAP). Deputy Collector Customs BBIAP Shahid Jan has registered a case and started investigation against them, sources added.

Sources added that during this matter, two customs inspectors who were identified as Ali Muhammad and Mumtaz, also doubted to be involved in the favor of these accused so the authorities called them to the headquarters to surrender. The authorities also get camera footage to inquire the alleged involvement of these two accused in the smuggling of mobile phones.
