Customs Preventive, Appraisement collect Rs 7.9 billion in February

LAHORE: Customs Preventive and Appraisement have jointly collected duty and taxes worth Rs 7,904 million during the month of February 2016.

As per details, the Customs Appraisement registered a growth of 16 percent by collecting Rs 5363 million against the assigned target of Rs 4609 million while the Customs Preventive collected Rs 2541 million against the target of Rs 2794 million.

The Customs Multan and Faisalabad have also shown excellent performance by collecting Rs 4,771 million during the seventh month of the fiscal year 2015-16.  Both the collectorates performed well by registering 27 percent and 126 percent growth, respectively.

All the four collectorates collected Rs 12,677 million against the assigned target of Rs 10,823 million, registering a growth of 17 percent during the month of February.
