Customs Preventive ASO seizes smuggled goods  worth Rs7.732m

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized smuggled goods worth Rs4.732 million during crackdown.

According to the details, Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal received credible information about the movement of smuggled diesel. He immediately directed the ASO staff to enhance vigilance. The ASO team intercepted one Hino water tanker and recovered 24,800 liters diesel oil worth Rs2.23 million from Akhtar colony area. The value of tanker is 2.5 million.

In another action, ASO of Customs  Preventive Karachi intercepted a truck coming from Mand loaded with drums of bitumen cleared vide GD#1783 at Moachko choke point. On cursory examination, Iranian diesel was detected, which was concealed inside the truck. Verification of documents is still under process. Quantity of diesel will be confirmed as ascertained.
