Customs Preventive awards certificates to outstanding staff

LAHORE: Customs Collectorate Preventive has awarded certificates, acknowledging the super performance of the junior staff at a get together of customs officers and staffs including superintendents and inspectors at the Air Freight Unit (AFU) at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir was the chief guest at the event while Collector Customs (Preventive), Lahore Zulfiqar Younas, Additional Collector Sameera Sheikh, Additional Collector Jamil Nasir, Additional Collector Amir Rasheed and all the deputy and assistant collector of Customs Preventive, officers besides a large number of Customs staff were also present on the occasion.

Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir and Collector of Customs (Preventive) Lahore Zulfiqar Younas appreciated the performance of appraisers, inspectors and awarded among them performance shield admitting their outstanding services which they render during the last financial year for the collection of revenue.

The customs appraiser, inspectors and sepoys have been awarded on their outstanding performance during the last financial year. Ghhulam Nabi Zafar Appraiser awarded performance shield on his outstanding and dedicated efforts in collection of revenue during the financial year 2015-16, Masood Arif Cheema Inspector performed outstandingly during his stay at Airport (Traffic) to facilitate the passengers over there. Sajjad Hussain Bukhari Inspector also served performance shield on his extra ordinary performance in anti-smuggling activities and enforcement of customs laws. To appreciate and encourage the Class-IV staff  Customs Preventive, Lahore also awarded to sepoy Muhammad Ali as the best sepoy of the year.

Talking to Customs Today Chief Collector of Customs (Central) Region Samaira Nazir said that such events are really important when seniors and juniors interact.

“When senior officers appreciate and acknowledge the positive efforts of junior staff the junior feel encouragement and are motivated further to do good for improvement and development of any organization. Junior staff feels easy accessibility to the seniors and confidently exchange their point of views due to such get together infact” she said Customs Central Region was able not only to achieve financial year’s target but also exceed it and all this was possible due to the strenuous efforts of all the seniors and juniors, she said, adding that “our seniors appreciated us and we are further encouraging our juniors which is a good tradition”.
