Customs Preventive busts contraband goods in raid at Saddar bus terminal

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team busted huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs2,336,582 in a successful raid Bus Terminal in Saddar.

According to the details, on the tip of higher authorities the Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal constituted a team to conduct a raid over the information of contraband items smuggling in a huge quantity.

On the dirctives of the Deputy Collector the team of customs staff beefed up the security and surveillance at the entry and exit point of the Saddar area.

In pursuance of actionable information the team raided a dumping place Arbaz Bus terminal at Saddar and recovered huge quantity of smuggled goods worth millions of rupees in the international market. During the raid seized thirty six Samsung LED TVs assorted model and size worth Rs.1,162,015/- and assorted twenty nine new tyres worth Rs. 739,036/- whereas eighty five old and used tyres worth Rs. 435,582/ has been recovered in a successful raid.

Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) staff has filed the case against the henious crime of smuggling whereas further investigation is underway.
