Customs Preventive collects Rs 6.8b in 15 days of May

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorte Preventive collected Rs 6.8 billion in wake of duty/taxes during first 15 days of running month, May, 2016.

It generated Rs 1.1 billion under the head of customs duty, Rs 2.4 billion as sales tax, Rs 3.1 billion under the head of income tax and Rs 200 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED).

It may mention here that the Customs Preventive collected Rs 50.3 billion duty/taxes from January-April, 2016. It collected Rs 13.2 billion as customs duty, Rs 30.2 billion in wake of sales tax, Rs 5 billion under the head of income tax and Rs 2 billion as FED.
