Customs Preventive collects station wise Rs 640m in August

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive collected station wise Rs 640 million customs duty (CD) during August 2016 against Rs 573 million collected during August 2015.

The Collectorate collected Rs 524 million from Air Freight Unit (AFU) Lahore during the period under review against Rs 487 million collected during the same period of the last year. The Collectorate collected Rs 5 million from Land Freight Unit (LFU) Wagah during August 2016 against Rs 6 million collected during the same period of last year.

The Collectorate collected Rs 103 million from Railway Station T-10 during the period under review against Rs 73 million during the same period of the last financial year.

Likewise the Collectoarte collected Rs 7 million customs duty from other stations during August 2016 against Rs 5 million collected during the same period of last year 2015. The Collectorate, however, offered no rebate and refund during the period against Rs 3 million disbursed during August 2015.

It was reflected that overall the Collectorate collected Rs 640 million during the month of August 2016 against Rs 540 million collected during the same period last year 2015.

However, the Collectorate has depicted increased collection of customs duty (CD) during July –August 2016 against same period last year of 2015.
