Customs Preventive foils bid to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia

KARACHI: Pakistan Custom Preventive has seized huge quantity of narcotics being smuggled to foreign country after a successfully raid at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP).
The staff of the Pakistan Customs deputed at the departure of Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), after getting a tip-off, intercepted a passenger named Raees Khan and asked him for getting checked the luggage as well as travel documents.

During the search, the officers of the Pakistan Customs found approximately five hundred and fifty grams of high quality heroin powder hidden in the secret places of the bags concealed in a box at the departure of the Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) Karachi.

The source informed Customs Today that the passenger Raees Khan was travelling to Jeddah, through Flight No PA-707 of Air Blue. The culprit has been arrested after registering an FIR. Further investigation is underway.

The sources further stated that the Customs has broaden the security and surveillance at the airports across the country to stop such illegal activities and to apprehend the mastermind involved in the heinous crime, on the other hand on the information of the arrested culprit raids have also been planned to arrest the entire gang of smugglers.
