Customs Preventive impounds smuggled POL products from Multan Road

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team impounded huge quantity of smuggled POL products during intelligence based operation (IBO) from Multan Road.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Customs Preventive Ahmad Rauf received credible information about smuggling of POL products. After receiving the above said information the Collector directed Additional Collector Muhammad Ashfaq and Assistant Collector Salman Javed to enhancing patrolling on Multan Road.

A customs team was constituted under the supervision of Superintendent Shahid Nasim Joiya which also includes Inspectors Suhail Murtaza, Agha Sultan Haider, Zia ur Rehman Bhatti, Shehzad Ishaq, Maqsood Ahmad, Ghulam Asghar, Hassan Mehmood, Saleem Khan and Sepoys Shaukat Ishaq, Sarmad, Naeem etc.

The above mentioned team intercepted three suspicious oil tankers on Multan Road and asked the drivers to produce legal documents regarding transportation of POL products but they remained failed. Customs team seized all the three oil tankers and after registering a case started investigation.
