Customs Preventive Officer Syed Ali exonerated

ISLAMABAD: Syed Ali Mehdi, Preventive Officer (BS-16), Model Customs Collectorate Preventive, Karachi, has been exonerated from the charges levelled against him.

The disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the officer under Government Servants Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 vide Charge Sheet No.10(31)/2015-Cust-III dated 24.02.2016.

Amjad Hussain Rajpar, Deputy Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation-FBR (Customs Enforcement), Karachi, was appointed as inquiry officer to conduct inquiry into the charges levelled against the officer.

On the basis of report of the inquiry officer, the authorised officer/chief (Management-Customs) FBR, has exonerated Syed Ali Mehdi from the charges levelled against him. He has been reinstated into the government service with immediate effect and the period of his suspension with effect from April 07 till date is treated as spent on duty. He is, however, strictly warned to be careful/vigilant in performing duty in future.
