Customs Preventive posts 8pc station wise customs duty growth

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive has collected Rs 1867 million station wise customs duty during the 1st quarter of current fiscal year 2016-17 against Rs 1728 million during the same period of last financial year.

As per details, the collectorate collected Rs 1521 million customs duty from Air Freight Unit (AFU) during the quarter under review against same period last quarter of financial year 2015-16.

Likewise, the collectorate collected Rs 13 million from Land Freight Unit (LFU) Wagha during the 1st quarter FY 2016-17 against Rs 35 million same period of last financial year.

The collectorate collected Rs 370 million from Railway Station T-10 during the quarter under review against Rs 312 million collected during the same period last financial year. Similarly, the collectorate collected Rs 31 million from other stations during the period against Rs 19 million during the same period last financial year.

However, after deduction of refund and rebate the collectorate collected net Rs 1715 million customs duty from all the station during the period under review against Rs 1638 million net collection of customs duty during same quarter last financial year of 2015-16.
