Customs Preventive floats tenders to buy boats for surveillance of territorial waters

KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Preventive has floated international tenders to procure boats for monitoring and enforcement activities in the country’s territorial waters.

According to Deputy Collector Headquarters Preventive, Muhammad Moazzam Raza the interested bidders may submit their sealed bids by 11:3am on March 3, 2016.

The bids will be opened on the same day at 12:00 in the conference room at 5th floor of Customs House Karachi in the presence of bidders or their representatives.

The bidders sending their bid by post are required to send it in a manner that the same should reach the bid submission venue a day earlier to avoid any late submission, he added.

Two pre-bid meeting will be held at 1100 hours, one on 10.2.2016 and on 18.2.2016 in the conference room, 5th floor, Customs House.

Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the said meetings well versed with the Standard Bidding Documents and any related queries/clarification.

The bids must accompany a bid security of 2 percent of the total bid price in shape of Pay Order or Bank Draft from any branch of any standard double A rated bank in Karachi in favor of Chief Procurement Officer, Preventive Karachi in a separate envelope. Late bids without bid security in the prescribed format and/or with unsigned bid form, shall be rendered non-responsive at the time of technical bid opening.

The bidders are requested to quote their best and final prices as no negotiation on the prices are allowed. Electronic submission of bids is not allowed, the DC added.
