Customs Preventive recovers 7.7kgs crystal meth worth Rs169.4m near Keti Bundar

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Preventive seizes 7.7 kilograms of Meth Crystal worth Rs169.4 million in the international market near Keti Bundar.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Saquif Saeed received secret information that an attempt will be made to smuggle narcotics near Keti Bundur. The smugglers would use fishing boat for transportation of narcotics near Keti Bundur.

He immediately formed anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Superintendent Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASI) Jabbar Khan Niazi which also includes Additional Collector Haroon Malik and supervised by Assistant Collector Shafi Ullah, the team had to use private wooden boats to reach the place. The smugglers on seeing enforcement squad left the goods and escaped from the spot.

The seized narcotics were also to be delivered to an international vessel.

It was also known that Customs officials are using all available resources to identify the vessel, these narcotics were to be delivered.
