Customs Preventive recovers alcohol, mobile accessories at Allama Iqbal Airport

LAHORE: Customs Preventive team deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport confiscated 10 alcohol bottles from passengers travelling via different flights during a raid at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Sources told Customs Today that the team conducted operations on different flights coming from Dubai, Turkey, Jeddah and Muscat to Lahore. Customs Preventive team took action on PIA flight 790, PK 888, PK 204, Turkish Airways 715, Gulf Air 790 and Saudi Arabian SV726. During actions in these flights customs staff recovered 10 bottles of alcohol. Customs allowed all passengers to go after confiscation of alcohol bottles from their possession.

Customs has also confiscated two LED’s of 40 inches from two passenger six cell phones, wireless sets and 30 kilograms of mobile accessories were also recovered from Lahore airport. Customs has confiscated all the recovered alcohol bottles and has started investigations.

It is common practice that passengers coming from European countries carries bottles of alcohol with them but many times they left that in premises of airport to avoid from being arrest.
