Customs Preventive recovers Indian cutch worth Rs40m from Joria Bazar

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Preventive anti-smuggling squad recovered 50 kilograms of Indian origin cutch/kattach from a godown located at Joria Bazar.

According to sources, Collector Customs Preventive Saqif Saeed received credible information that huge quantity of Indian origin cutch is dumped in a godown located at Joria bazaar. He immediately constituted anti-smuggling squad to take necessary measures. The anti-smuggling squad raided a godown in Joria Bazar and recovered 1500 slabs of Indian origin cutch and kattah.

The anti-smuggling squad shifted the entire goods to State Warehouse-III Keamari. Sources told that Customs Preventive anti-smuggling squad after registering a case started further investigations.
