KARACHI: In continuation with ongoing drive against the menace of smuggling, the Model Customs Collectorate Preventive has raided warehouses in Mauripur area and recovered pilfered/missing containers of NATO/ISAF/US Army reverse cargo, Customs Today learnt.
Acting swiftly on intelligence information, Assistant Collector Headquarters Syed Muhammad Raza Naqvi headed a team to raid the godowns and found the containers where the stuff was being crapped out.
The sources told that further investigation were underway and it would be premature to point finger at anyone.
“Let the things be uncovered and actual facts be ascertained. It is likely that Enforcement-South Chief Collector to address press conference after the investigation into the matter is done”, sources added.
