Customs Preventive seizes 2.5kg narcotics, vehicle worth Rs65m

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Preventive, Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) in a successful operation against contraband good and narcotics recovered 2.5 kilograms of Meth-Amphetamine crystal from a bus and arrested the accused at Moachko choke point. The value of the seized narcotics is Rs55 million while the value of passenger bus is Rs15 million.

Sources said that Collector Muhammad Saqif Saeed received credible information regarding movement of narcotics in a Daewoo passenger bus at Moachko Choke point.

He immediately directed Additional Collector Haroon Waqar Malik to take necessary measures to thwart any attempt of smuggling.

The operation was conducted as per the directions of the Collector Muhammad Saqif Saeed and Additional Collector Haroon Waqar Malik and was supervised by Assistant Collector Shafi Ullah and SPS ASO Abdul Jabbar Khan Niazi

It is necessary to mention here that in May, 2021 ASO of Customs Preventive has confiscated 14.2 kg worth Rs 312.4 million of Meth-Amphetamine.
