KARACHI: The Custom Preventive has confiscated 3.5 kilogram of heroin by foiling a smuggling attempt here at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
Officials deployed at the airport checked the luggage of a passenger, who was going to Colombo through a private airline, and found some prohibited items. The officials conducted a thorough checking and recovered heroin which was concealed in the frame of glass artistically.
Taking action, the accused passenger was arrested on the sport and shifted him to jail for further interrogations. The officials claimed that the value of the seized heroin is between Rs 30-40 million in international market.
