LAHORE: Customs Preventive Lahore has seized 790g heroin at Allama Iqbal International Airport and arrested the accused person.
As per details, the Customs authorities on suspicion examined the luggage of a passenger who was to travel from Lahore to Bangkok through China. The Customs authorities upon examination of the luggage of passenger, Akbar Ali resident of Bank Stop Lahore, recovered 790 grams heroine worth Rs 3,50,000.
The heroine was found hidden in the shoes packed in the luggage. When the Customs authorities dismantle the shoe they found transparent packets of off-white substance which was confirmed as heroin by laboratory test.
The Customs authorities arrested the accused Akbar Ali and logged FIR against him. Further investigations into the case have been initiated.
