Customs Preventive seizes Coaster, Intercooler, generator

LAHORE: The Customs Preventive has seized illegally imported coaster, Intercooler car and a 500 KV generator during various operations.

Sources told Customs Today that the customs authorities intercepted a coaster, which was being run on fake documents and number plate. The sources said that the coaster was valued at Rs 4 million.

It is pertinent to mention here that the vehicle was part of the 71 coasters which were cleared from NLC Dry port fraudulently and were declared illegal. The customs team  also seized another vehicle intercooler car worth Rs 1 million from Model Town as the owner failed to produce legal documents.

The customs team also seized a generator of 500KV from Gajumata on Ferozepur Road. The value of the generator was determined at Rs 4 million. The customs authorities registering case have initiated further investigation.

The operations were undertaken under the supervision of Superintendent Munawar Khan on the instructions of collectorate of customs Zulfiqar Younas. Inspectors and sepoys including Ejaz Rasool, Mazhar Bhuttro, Qayoom Butter and Shahnawaz Langriyal were also part of the team.
