Customs Preventive’s ASO seizes huge quantity of smuggled cigarettes, tobacco

LAHORE: Customs Preventive Lahore’s Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized a large quantity of smuggled cigarettes and chewing tobacco worth millions from a godown in at Gari Shau.

An ASO team, on a tipoff, raided a godown, which was also the residence of Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Haroon and Abdul Qayum.

The raiding team was consisting of Superintendent Nasir Minhas, Deputy Superintendents Agha Qadeer, Mazhar Butter and Inspectors Nasir Saeed, Sajjad Bukhari, Mansoor Elahi, Gulzar Bhatti, Mughal-e-Azam, Asif Nawaz, Tariq Baig, Ijaz Butt, Javaid Iqbal Butt, Abdul Qayum Butter and Abdul Ghaffar.

A huge quantity of foreign origin cigarettes, gutka, sheesha flavours, tobacco Guru 300, cigars etc were loaded in three Mazda trucks. A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
