Customs Prosecution submits challan in cloth smuggling case

LAHORE: The Customs Investigation and Prosecution, Gujranwala on Friday submitted the completed investigation challan against Saeedul Haq in smuggling case before the Customs Court.

During the previous hearing, the court had directed the investigation team to submit interim challan of the case in the next hearing.

The accused Saeedul Haq was arrested by the Gujranwala Customs Intelligence following the recovery of smuggled goods from a truck bearing Registration No. IDT-3267. The officials conducted the raid when smuggled item were being shifted to a godown from truck.

Customs intelligence recovered clothes, shoes and other items, which were smuggled from Afghanistan through Balochistan.

It may mention here that the Customs Court had also approved the bail plea of the accused Saeedul Haq.
