QUETTA: The MCC Quetta seized 600 kilogram more narcotics during first seven months of FY17-18 than the same previous months of FY16-17.
According to details given by Ashraf Ali, Collector Model Customs Collectorate Quetta, that, during first six months and three weeks of January FY17-18 (July to 23rd January), the collectorate consficated 888 kilogram of various bars of narcotics while it impounded 197 kilogram of narcotics during the same period of FY16-17.
During above said period of FY17-18, the MCC Quetta took into possession 431 Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles worth Rs435.4million while it impounded 351 NDP vehicles valued at Rs267.6million during the same period of FY16-17.
Ashraf Ali told CT that the MCC Quetta seized 811,307 liters of POL products including petrol, diesel, kerosene oil and mobile oil priced at Rs44.14million against 1252,655 liters of impounded smuggled POL products worth Rs71.27million during first seven months of FY16-17.
Collector MCC Quetta said the MCC seized 256 bottles of liquor valued at Rs1.38million during initial seven months of FY17-18 while it did 12 bottles of liquor worth Rs0.103million during the same corresponding period. The MCC Quetta confiscated miscellaneous smuggling goods including betel nuts, tyres, spare parts, cloths and cigarettes priced at Rs449.884million during July to 23rd of January FY17-18 while it impounded worth Rs538.9million of smuggling items during first seven months of FY16-17.
During current FY17-18, the MCC Quetta took into possession smuggling goods valued at Rs930.804million while it did smuggling goods priced at Rs877.873million during the same period of FY16-17.
