Quetta Customs seizes 3 luxury NCP vehicles worth Rs210m

QUETTA: In a major anti-smuggling operation, the Mobile Squad of Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized three non-custom-paid (NCP) luxury vehicles valued at approximately Rs. 210 million.

Acting on credible information provided by the Chief Collector Enforcement, Islamabad, the enforcement team, working in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, intercepted and seized 02 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 (bulletproof) vehicles and 01 Lexus 450h.

The vehicles have been taken into custody for legal action under the Customs Act, 1969.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) while commending the Quetta Enforcement team for their swift and successful operation, reiterated its firm resolve to curb smuggling and illicit trade.

Acting on credible information provided by the Chief Collector Enforcement Islamabad, Customs team raided a warehouse on the outskirts of Quetta with the support of other law enforcement agencies.

Earlier on Tuesday, Collectorate of Customs team during a raid recovered substantial quantity of smuggled goods including assorted cloth, tyres, cigarettes, sheesha flavours, cashew nuts, and human hair worth an estimated Rs. 138 million was successfully recovered and seized.

All seized goods have been taken into official custody, and legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969 have been initiated.

This operation is part of the Collectorate’s intensified crackdown against smuggling networks and illicit trade activities in the region.
