QUETTA: The ASO of the MCC Quetta took into possession 77 NDP vehicles during the first two weeks of January FY17-18.
According to details given by Ashraf Ali, Collector, Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta, that the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Quetta displayed an outstanding performance during the first two weeks of the current month.
The collector told the correspondent that, up to 12th of January FY17-18, the anti-smuggling statement of the ASO Quetta shows that Rs100million value of goods were impounded. The impounded goods comprise 77 Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles, a huge quantity of foreign origin fake cigarettes, imported smuggled pan parag, smuggled tyres and tubes, smuggled Iranian diesel, auto parts, and cloths.
The ASO Quetta took into possession 54 NDP vehicles worth Rs59million during two weeks of December Fiscal Year 2017-18. The impounded combined items and vehicles value at Rs113million during said period.
Ashraf Ali explained that the ASO showed brilliant performance during above said period of December FY 2017-18. The ASO Quetta took 54 NDP vehicles into possession priced at 59.40million from different locations under the jurisdiction of MCC Quetta.
The Collector of Quetta told CT that, during December FY17-18, the ASO confiscated foreign origin smuggling fabric worth Rs6.895million whereas it did foreign origin smuggling tyres valued at Rs7.193million. Moreover, the ASO impounded a big quantity of foreign origin auto parts priced at Rs4.758million.
He said the ASO Quetta seized smuggling petroleum oil and lubricants worth Rs6.973million whereas the ASO did smuggling of fake cigarettes valued at Rs5.218million. The ASO confiscated foreign origin electronic items priced at Rs0.974million and thwarted the smuggling of blankets valued at Rs0.628million.
The Collector of Quetta Customs said the collectorate took into possession a huge quantity of various other foreign origin smuggling goods worth Rs113.635million during the first two weeks of December FY17-18.
