Customs re-issues value of polyester suiting fabric‏

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Valuation has redetermined the customs values of polyester suiting fabric vide valuation ruling No.770/2015.

According to details, Customs issued previous Valuation Ruling No. 483/2012 since more than three years ago. Furthermore, the rationalizations of value of the polyester fabric already issued by the Directorate General vide Ruling No. 684/2014 also warranted revision.

It is therefore deemed expedient to revise these rulings due to change in prices of fabric in international market .Various range of polyester suiting fabric lies in different range according to issued valuation.

Accordingly, polyester ladies shirting/suiting fabric of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, UAE, Korea and India is assessed to duty and taxes at $5.5 per kilograms, while goods of Europe, USA and Canada origin will be assessed to duty and taxes at $6.0 per kilograms, goods of China to be assessed at $5.0 per kilograms.

Accordingly, polyester gents shirting/suiting fabric of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, UAE, Korea and India is assessed to duty and taxes at $5.5 per kilograms, while goods of Europe, USA and Canada origin will be assessed to duty and taxes at $6.0 per kilograms, goods of China to be assessed at $5.0 per kilograms.

Polyester ladies net fabric of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, UAE, Korea and India is assessed to duty and taxes at $5.5 per kilograms, while goods of Europe, USA and Canada origin will be assessed to duty and taxes at $6.0 per kilograms, goods of China to be assessed at $5.0 per kilograms.

Polyester ladies knitted fabric of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, UAE, Korea and India is assessed to duty and taxes at $4.5 per kilograms, while goods of Europe, USA and Canada origin will be assessed to duty and taxes at $5.0 per kilograms, goods of China to be fixed at $4.25 per kilograms.

Polyester ladies shirting/suiting fabric (chenille, velvet), polyester pile fabric (knitted/narrow knitted) of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, UAE, Korea and India is appraised to duty and taxes at $5.5 per kilograms, while goods of Europe, USA and Canada origin will be assessed to duty and taxes at $6.0 per kilograms, goods of China to be determined at $5.0 per kilograms.

Polyester fabric (Georgette Chiffon 20-27 meters per kg) of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, UAE, Korea and India is assessed to duty and taxes at $7.0 per kilograms, while goods of Europe, USA and Canada origin will be assessed to duty and taxes at $7.0 per kilograms, goods of China to be assessed at $7.0 per kilograms.
