Customs recovered seven partridge from Benazir International Airport

ISLAMABAD: Customs staff deputed at Benazir International Airport Islamabad recovered seven partridge from a passenger . The market value of seized partridge is Rs5,00,000.  A UK national tactfully hide them in a bag.

Deputy Collector Naghma e Tehneat told Customs Today  that during routine checking customs staff found a suspicious bag of a passenger who was boarding for UK.

Deputy collector said that when bag was passed through the machine customs staff seizes the bag for checking, when the customs staff thoroughly checks the bag they found three black and four gray partridge that were tactfully hide under the bag.

The staff immediately pulls the partridge out from bag because partridge were on life risk and handed over them to a representative of Wildlife Department. Later Customs staff lodge FIR and further investigations are still in progress.
