LAHORE: The Customs Preventive has foiled a bid to smuggle alcohol from Norway to Lahore at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
According to the details, a lady passenger named Tahira Sameer, who reached Lahore airport from Norway was intercepted when she was using green channel. During checking of her luggage, the customs officials recovered 13 bottles of liquor.
The customs officials seized the bottles and initiated inquiry against the woman and other persons involved in smuggling.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Customs has started strict action against those people who are using green channel for illegal activities.
