KARACHI: The Customs officials have seized 144 cell phones worth Rs 1.2 million from a passenger at Jinnah International Airport.
The officials of Model Customs Collectorate (Preventive) intercepted a passenger namely Asim, who returned from UAE via PIA flight PK-214. On his refusal to have any contraband goods in his possession, the officials examined his luggage that led to the recovery of 144 cell phones worth Rs 1.2 million.
A case has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
