Customs recovers 15 liquor bottles & other items from Allama Iqbal Airport

LAHORE: The customs officials have confiscated about 15 alcohol bottles from the passengers travelling by different flights during raids on the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The officers carried out operations in different flights coming from Dubai to Lahore, Turkey to Lahore, Jeddah to Lahore and Muscat to Lahore. The customs allowed all the passengers to go after the seizure of liquor.

The customs has also seized four LEDs of three inches from two passengers. About 50 cell phones, wireless sets and 35 kilogram of mobile accessories were also recovered from the Lahore airport. The security officers have launched an investigation into the matter.

The customs staff has also impounded 25 kilogram of spare parts of different vehicles from a passenger who was coming from China. All the items were found during a tight and active vigilance of the customs staff at the airport. The customs has especially started the checking of the luggage of the passengers before Eid.
