Customs revises valuation of fruit jams

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate General of Customs Valuation has revised valuation of fruit jam and marmalade after receiving request for revision in valuation by the importers.

The valuation of fruit jam was determined through Valuation Ruling No.898/2016 under HS Code 20.07 and revised Valuation Ruling No.725/2015.

The customs values of fruit jams of Europe/USA/Canada origin are fixed at $2.3/kg; of Malaysia/Indonesia, Thailand/UAE at $1.4/kg and all other origins at $1.5/kg. The customs values of fruit marmalade of citrus fruit of Europe/USA/Canada origin are fixed at $2.2/kg; of Malaysia/Indonesia, Thailand/UAE at $1.3/kg and all other origins at $1.4/kg.
