ISLAMABAD: The Directorate-General Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded one non-duty paid Toyota Vigo Champ worth of Rs 4.5 million during road checking.
According to details, the above said vehicle was seized due to non-production of legal documents from Qasim Market area of Rawalpindi. During checking customs staff found that the car displaying fake registration mark. While the chemical examination of the vehicle has also revealed that the chassis no is also founded cut and welded.
The Customs party seized the vehicles on the spot and registered a case against the owner of the vehicle.
Deputy Director Directorate Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rawalpindi Shahid Jan told Customs Today that our staff have open eye on smuggled goods while we are trying our best to stop smuggling.
