ISLAMABAD: The customs staff confiscated 112 kilogram of prohibited medicines while foiling a smuggling bid at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
As per details, the customs officials checked the luggage of two passengers which led to the recovery of illegal medicines.
The passengers were going to China and intended to smuggle these medicines to Urumqi, a city in China.
Officials said that both passengers have been arrested, besides seizing the medicines. A first information report has been lodged against the offenders and further investigation is under process.
