ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Customs seized 139 smartphones and tabs along with 8000 mobile memory cards worth Rs 5 million while intercepting a smuggling attempt by Raja Azam Shehzad.
According to details, Pakistan Customs got information that a passenger in flight EK-614 coming from Dubai to Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad is carrying huge amount of smartphones. Upon this information Deputy Collector Customs Islamabad Airport Naveed ur Rehman Bagvi formed a team to keep an eye on passengers coming from Dubai. Customs team searched Raja Azam Shehzad, resident of Chakwal and found 139 smartphones and tabs from his possession. Customs seized smartphones and arrested the accused. An FIR is registered against him and further investigation is under process.
