DHAKA: Customs officials at Dhakka Airport have seized 18 gold bars weighing 2kg from an airplane at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport. The value of the gold was estimated to be worth Tk 20 million, custom officials told reporters.
Sources in customs department said that the airplane had come from Dubai.
Customs department’s Joint Commissioner Mohammad Zia Uddin said the gold bars, concealed in a packet, were found under a seat of Bangladesh Biman flight BG 084 around 11:30am on Thursday.
