PANAJI: Gold smugglers are keeping the air intelligence wing of the Goa commissionerate of customs busy once again. Customs personnel on Tuesday arrested 21-year-old Farhan Abdulla Haneef Abdulla, a resident of Kasargod, Kerala, and seized 1kg gold worth 27 crore at Dabolim international airport. Abdulla had arrived from Dubai. This is the first gold seizure this month.

A customs officer said that the accused carried the gold at the airport and when he got off the plane, taped the gold bar to the bottom of an airport luggage trolley with adhesive tape.
