HYDERABAD: A team of Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has seized 34,600 kilogrammes of foreign-origin black gram worth Rs 3.46 million, packed in 385 PP bags and loaded onto a truck bearing registration number MAM-797.
As per the details, on the instructions of Hyderabad Customs Collector Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, the ASO team raided and seized the smuggled lentil weighing 34,600kg.
The ASO team comprised Superintendent Nadeem Ahmed Usmani, Sikandar Akbar Panhwar, Deputy Superintendent S Shafique Ali, Inspector Abdul Ghaffar Shaikh and other staff.
