Customs seizes cooking oil worth Rs20m ‏

MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized huge quantity of cooking oil from Multan region during an action.

Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Naveed ur Rehman Bugvi received credible information from realisable resource that foreign origin vegetable oil and cooking oil loaded on the oil tanker entered into Multan.

Deputy Director Customs Intelligence formed a team included Superintendent Fareed ud Din Masood ,Qaswar Shah, Zulfiqar Ali and others to foil the smuggling.

The team captured the oil tanker having registration number of TLQ-054 from Bahawalpur Bypass road near vehari Chowk .Then Customs intelligence officials asked the driver to provide documents of the loaded vegetable and cooking oil but they failed to produce any import documents to regarding import evidence.

During the search of the truck customs team found a huge quantity of vegetable and cooking oil. The oil tanker was seized along with cooking oil during the action .The quantity of the seized cooking oil was 38000 liters. The approximately value of seized oil is Rs20 million.
