KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Preventive Quetta has seized engine oil worth Rs 4.4 million during a crackdown in Quetta.
Sources told Customs Today that Customs Preventive received a credible information that engine oil is being smuggled into the country through Afghan trade. After receiving information, a raiding party intercepted a Mazda truck at Bolali check-post and seized engine oil worth Rs 4.4 milion.
Customs asked the driver to produce legal documents regarding possession of engine oil but he failed to produce the same. After which customs team seized the engine oil and registered a case against the owner of the truck. Further proceedings are still in progress till the filing of this report.
